RELEASE MECHANISM — print this first: the owner may recover the vehicle by paying 75% of the bill and posting bond for the rest, then dispute from possession instead of from the sidewalk.
The invoice law
Itemized invoices are mandated by law — time estimates, usage certifications, and distance traveled. An invoice missing a mandated element is itself a violation.
Penalties
Violations are 'deceptive acts' under Indiana law, up to $5,000.
